Our Beliefs

Trinitarian view, God exists in three distinct, equal, and inseparable parts: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Each part functions in unison with the others and none can act in their own accord without the others. God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. He is sovereign over all things, nothing came to be without Him. He is eternal.

Creator and sustainer of all life. He has been from the beginning and He always will be to the end of the age. Holds authority over all creation. Sent his only begotten son for the remission of sins.

Exists from eternity as God. Sent as the begotten son from the Father. The incarnate Word of God. Born of a virgin. Fully God and fully man. Perfect and sinless. Died in our place as an atoning sacrifice for the sins of all creation. He rose on the third day defeating sin and death forever. He now sits at the right hand of the Father. He is the door to salvation and all who call on His name will be saved.

Exists from eternity as God. Worked in and among God’s people throughout the Old Testament. Sent as an advocate on the day of Pentecost. Indwells all believers who have accepted Christ. Guides believers in the way of God and aids in the work of sanctification. Strengthens us to act according to what we have been taught by the Word.

The Bible is the infallible, inspired, and eternal word of God given to man through the voice of God and through the Spirit of God as a guide to live according to God’s love for us. Every single word in this book is God-breathed and is good for teaching, correcting, and encouraging. Eternally applicable to the lives of believers throughout all the Earth and history. The book begins with Genesis and was finalized in Revelation.

Created in the image of the Godhead. Created for the purpose to give glory to the Father. Through Adam, sin was introduced and therefore man was destined for death. All of creation is corrupted by sin. No one can seek God on their own.

The church is the bride and body of Christ. The purpose of the church is to bring glory to the name of the Father. The mission of the church is to preach the name of Jesus to the far corners of the Earth and make disciples of all nations. The church exists in many forms that all share the mission to make the name of Jesus known. The Church is one body. No church is greater than the next. The Church is made up of believers in Christ who have made the public profession of faith through baptism.

Gifts of the Spirit are still active in the Church today. Each Christian has received a unique gift from the Spirit that is a tool for the testimony of the believer.

Water baptism by immersion is the outward profession of an inward confession that Jesus Christ is the Lord of one’s life. Baptism is the next step in the believer’s salvation that is commanded by Jesus and the apostles along with repentance and belief. Baptism is not separate in salvation but a work of salvation done in the heart of the believer.

Marriage is the union of one man and one woman for life. God ordained marriage from the creation of the Earth as an image of the relationship between the Son and His Church. The husband is created as the leader of the home and is responsible for the lives of those in the family. The wife was created as an equal partner to help the husband fulfill his role in the family.
